The energy management system at the core of Smart Charj, converting kinetic input into power held in hybrid supercapacitors, is covered by a granted UK patent, with international patents pending.

Our patent covers the generator mechanism that makes an ultra-fast charge possible, our Energy Management System that manages the energy storage and deployment, together with our modular concept that allows the battery pack to be detached from the generator. The advanced design of Smart Charj is the result of a number of years of collaboration with leading academic institutions and mechanical and electronics engineering experts.

The Cabinet Office launched the Be Ready campaign on 22 October 2026, asking every household to be able to manage for three days without the services they rely on.

Smart Charj can alleviate the issue and stress of a depleted power bank in the absence of available power, simply because you can generate your own power, by hand, as and when needed.
